After having their three game unbeaten run ended with a 1-2 home defeat by Windsor & Eton in midweek, United bounced back to get their season back on track with a hard earned win over a resilient Barking at Buckingham Road. Dave Sansom gave United the lead in the 39th minute and after Horace Nelson had equalised for the visitors in the 43rd minute, Allan Pluckrose scored what proved to be the winner in the 65th minute.
