The Ducks can consider themselves extremely unlucky not to have taken all three points from this Boxing Day encounter with high flying Boreham Wood who included ex-Ducks Lee Harvey, John Lawford, Gary Wotton, Bobby Highton and Darren Grieves in their starting line up and were also under the management of former Aylesbury boss Gary Phillips for the first time.

Aylesbury took the lead with 10 minutes on the clock when Peter Clifford arrived at the far post to hammer home Kieran Gallagher's corner.

The lead was doubled 3 minutes later when Roni Joe latched onto Gary Wotton's short backpass, took the ball round visiting keeper Noel Imber and coolly slotted the ball into the back of the net.

Aylesbury had further chances to increase their lead through Mark Duckett who hammered Jefferson Louis' lay off just over the bar and Stuart Maynard whose close ranger header from a Louis cross was saved by Imber.

Boreham Wood pulled themselves back into the game on 69 minutes when John Lawford scored with a powerful shot at the far post.

Six minutes later they were level when Lee Harvey made the most of a goalmouth scramble to score from six yards out.

Aylesbury's only real chance to steal all three points came with 12 minutes left when Ollie Stanbridge's shot from 18 yards was once again saved by Noel Imber.
