What should have been a routine County Cup tie for the Ducks turned out to be far from that as controversy reigned supreme in the village of Flackwell Heath.

Flackwell took the lead on eight minutes through Kevin Franklin before Gavin Mernagh was brought down in the area by Lee Worgan on twenty seven minutes. The referee awarded Flackwell a penalty but also felt it in order to show Lee a red card, with no keeper on the bench Greg Williams was once again called upon to take over the goalkeeping duties but could do nothing to stop Jason Bowler scoring from the spot.

The Ducks were back in the game on thirty five minutes when they were awarded a penalty which Adam Campion duly converted.

Three minutes later the evening took an unexpected twist when United were awarded another penalty. Everything seemed in order as Adam Campion appeared to convert the penalty only to see the referee award a corner! It soon became apparent that the Flackwell keeper may have got a hand to the ball and pushed it through a hole in the side netting hence the awarding of a corner. Despite strong protests from all those associated with Aylesbury United the referee maintained the ball had not entered the goal.

The Ducks equalised on seventy one minutes through Kezie Ibe however the remaining nineteen minutes and an additional thirty minutes of extra time could not seperate the sides and they both had to settle for a replay.
