United moved into second place in the Isthmian First Division with an impressive display at Stag Meadow. The Ducks had begun their League campaign with a defeat at Staines Town, but this was their fourth successive League victory as Cliff Hercules' men seemed to be getting their act together. The home side, by contrast, had lost their opening four fixtures and were struggling to come to terms with their elevated status, having finished runners up in Division Two the previous season.

The opening goal came after just five minutes when a deep looping corner found Scott Honeyball at the far post and the Aylesbury skipper made no mistake, powering his header into the back of the net. Six minutes later Stuart Maynard fired in a cross come shot which evaded everyone except Dwight Marshall who made no mistake from inches out to double the lead.

Just before the break Aylesbury got a deserved third when Chris Bangura received the ball on the edge of the area. His control was delightful and despite the efforts of the Windsor defence to upend him, the United number ten kept his feet well and calmly slotted home. A rare Windsor break saw Chuk Agudasi steal in to beat Adam Wheeler, but it was no more than a consolation as United played out time to secure the points.
