The Ducks were once again held to a draw in a game that in hindsight they really should have won.

Alex Stanley had Aylesbury's best chance on the half hour mark when his shot at goal was tipped over by Hayes keeper Bossu. Moments later Chris Bangura was also denied in a goalmouth scramble as the Ducks outplayed their newly relegated opponents.

Ducks debutant goalkeeper James Heeps tipped over a Jon Case effort shortly thereafter before Hayes' Dean Clark drilled the ball across the face of the goal shortly before half time.

The home side took the lead on 57 minutes as Kevin Warner struck home from the edge of the area as the rest of Hayes' side appealed for a penalty following a foul on David Warner. Warner had two further chances to score but was denied by the impressive Heeps.

Aylesbury had the better of the final quarter of the game as they pushed for an equaliser. Joe Baker had a shot turned around the post by Bossu who was also to later deny Chris Bangura and Roni Joe.

Aylesbury's deserved equaliser finally reared it's head on 82 minutes as Richard Horner scrambled the ball home at the far post to send the large visiting support home optimistic ahead of the busy festive period.
